New Track!

Finished my new track yesterday, Dissonance. I'm very happy with what I have learned during it's production. Compared to my first track 'Steptoe', it's a lot tighter and less sharp. All feedback welcome and enjoy!

Masnavi - Northern Introvert

It was hard for me to come up with an appropriate mood to suit Masnavi. It’s the kind of track that takes you for a journey and I wanted to convey this journey in the video. I wanted it to be comprised of entirely dynamics based visuals to fit the flow of the track. This meant that there were a lot of diversions from initial designs and some long rendering times. The diversions from initial sketches, however, meant that my image of Masnavi changed over the course of its production. This is my preferred method of making a project like this.

The video itself travels through different dynamically created 3D environments, giving the impression of travelling through an ever-changing world. The “world”, in this instance being a persons mind.

I wanted to give Masnavi a music video that encompasses its dreamlike feel, whilst simultaneously keeping up with the tempo and applying my own style to it; This, I hope I have done.

TBWLIAB entered into Student Television Awards 2012

My film, 'The Boy Who Lived in a Box' has been entered into the Student Television Awards 2012. We'll see in a couple of months if I'm nominated :) Very excited!

Masnavi - Northern Introvert Music Video

I am currently working on a music video for Leeds based electronic music producer Northern Introvert (Jack Roscoe) the song is entitled 'Masnavi.' Jack will be releasing a number of music videos created by various visual artists in the coming months. Very excited about this project. Here's a couple of shots from the project so far.

A character from the graphic novel

Another character from my graphic novel. This was quite a long process to make, jumping back and forth from Maya to Zbrush. Her Hair I wanted to create dynamically and so, for now, she remains bald.

A secondary character from the graphic novel. A few concepts from before and after his transformation into horrific, horned monster with no eyes ;)

A short animation/ render test for the robotic arm that features in my final university short 'The Boy Who Lived in a Box'.
